 Year in Review
Another year has come and gone, and already one year of “The Word” is in the books. Blue Frog Studios has had another successful year with some terrific acts, and the two top Frogs, Kelly, and Juanita, would like to thank all the patrons who attended the many shows this year. Well, here it is, Christmas Eve. You either have everything wrapped and ready, or you’re like some of us, on the run with some last-minute items to take care of, but for the kids, the magical night is about to begin. How many of you tried to stay up to see if you could hear reindeer hooves on the roof, and the next thing you knew it was morning and once again you didn’t make it past midnight.  Old Rockers/Tribute Bands
At Blue Frog Studios some of the hottest show tickets are for tribute bands. Last week for instance the group Arrival played 7 sold-out shows with its tribute to ABBA. Other bands like Led Zepagain, Eagle Eyes, Steelin in the Years, Songs of Lennon and McCartney, and more are guaranteed to sell out their shows. Who are the buyers? Well, I’d have to say the majority are those of us who have been labeled as “Baby Boomers.” Those born between 1946 and 1964 and if you do the math, Boomers now range in age from 59 to 77 years old. Seems that the music of our early lives just won’t release its strong rock and roll grip! |
