Where were you?
This past week I was once again reminded of how powerful a major event in life can affect your memory. How you can be transported right back to the time and place when you first heard the news. Good news or bad news, you remember exactly where you were. Collectors
Look up the definition of a collector and you’ll find that it’s a person who collects things. Now that sounds obvious, but it could be done either professionally or as a hobby. It could also be an official who is responsible for collecting money, like a tax collector, or a person on a bus or train who collects tickets from the passengers. Or Bill Henderson, he was a “Collector” in the 60’s till the band changed its name to Chilliwack, but I digress. The Pez
It was 25 years ago, Nov. 11, 1998 that Vancouver lost one of the most colourful characters the city has ever known. He died of a heart attack at the age of 77. Murray Pezim aka, “The Pez,” has been called the greatest promoter in Canadian stock market history, was inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame, and so much more. |
